Legacy Windows Server 2008 / 2012 hosts, aging file servers, and a pre-Autopilot device fleet all had to move without disrupting day-to-day operations, and without any misstep on the audit trail.

Approach

01 · Assess
Baselined the endpoint fleet, identity model, and Windows Server footprint. Mapped compliance controls to migration workstreams so evidence collection was built into each wave, not bolted on afterward.
02 · Design
Standardized on Intune / SCCM / Autopilot for device lifecycle, Entra ID for identity, and Windows Server 2022 as the target platform. Designed a file-server-to-cloud storage cutover pattern that preserved permissions and audit history.
03 · Migrate
Ran Windows 10 → 11 rollout waves, 2,000+ users to O365, and OS upgrades from Server 2008 / 2012 to 2022. Bi-annual DR exercises validated the target state against real recovery objectives.
04 · Adopt
Hardened GPO and Entra baselines, handed operational runbooks to internal IT, and stayed on as escalation for change-control-sensitive follow-on projects.
